Azure TL ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding your data. By using Azure TL, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

1. Information We Collect

We collect the following categories of information when you use Azure TL:

  • Account Information: When you sign in using a third-party provider (Google, Microsoft, or Apple), we receive your name, email address, and profile picture from that provider.
  • Usage Data: We collect data on how you interact with the app, such as pages visited, features used, and translation activity (volume of tokens used).
  • Content Data: Novel text you submit for translation is processed by our AI provider to generate a translation. We do not store the raw text of your novels beyond what is needed to complete the translation.
  • Technical Data: IP address, browser type, device type, and operating system for security and diagnostic purposes.
  • Payment Data: If you purchase a paid plan, payment processing is handled by a third-party payment provider. We do not store full payment card details.

2. How We Use Your Information

  • To provide, operate, and maintain the Azure TL service.
  • To process translations and manage your token balance.
  • To authenticate your identity and manage your account.
  • To process payments for paid subscription plans.
  • To send essential service-related communications (e.g., account or billing notices).
  • To improve the platform and troubleshoot issues.
  • To comply with legal obligations.

We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

3. Third-Party Services

Azure TL uses the following third-party services, each subject to their own privacy policies:

  • Supabase — Authentication and database hosting.
  • AI Translation Providers — Used to process translation requests. Text submitted may be processed by these providers in accordance with their data policies.
  • Payment Processors — Used to handle subscription payments securely.
  • Google / Microsoft / Apple OAuth — Used for sign-in. We only access the basic profile data they share with us.

4. Data Retention

We retain your account information for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete or anonymize your personal data within a reasonable period, unless we are required to retain it for legal or compliance reasons.

Translation content submitted to the service is not retained beyond what is necessary to complete the translation request.

5. Cookies and Local Storage

Azure TL uses browser localStorage to store your theme preference and session information. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies. Essential session cookies may be set by our authentication provider to keep you logged in.

6. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:

  • Access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
  • Correction: Request correction of inaccurate data.
  • Deletion: Request deletion of your account and associated personal data.
  • Portability: Request a copy of your data in a portable format.
  • Objection: Object to certain processing of your data.

7. Children's Privacy

Azure TL is not intended for users under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can delete it.

8. Security

We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your personal data from unauthorized access, loss, or misuse. However, no system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of Azure TL after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
